Yuri Karayev, Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, assessed the progress of the reconstruction of the city's wastewater treatment facilities in Lida, writes Pul 4 Region. Implementation of the project will increase the daily volume of wastewater treatment from 28 to 33 thousand cubic meters, which will positively affect the region's environmental safety.
Reconstruction has been underway since 2025 strictly according to schedule and is divided into two stages. The first involves the construction of new facilities and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year — as of today, it is 88% complete.
The second includes the reconstruction of old treatment capacities and the construction of a sludge processing complex. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027. In parallel, sludge fields for dewatering and drying of sludge are being built.
Yuri Karayev emphasized strict adherence to schedules, high construction quality, and equipment.
