
The head of the strategic planning department of the National Tourism Agency, Yulia Kras'ko, said in the BELTA project "Country Speaks" which areas of regional recreation are the main preferences for travelers.
She highlighted three areas. "First is the shift in focus of both foreign and Belarusian tourists toward ecotourism. This especially concerns people living in large cities who want to go out into nature to rest mentally and physically, so to speak, restore contact with nature. Everyone knows this digital detox, when you can forget about smartphone notifications. And here, of course, people strive to go to nature, to go to villages," Yulia Kras'ko shared her observations.
The second important vector is the growing interest in cultural heritage and authenticity. Tourists are attracted to village life, communication with local artisans, getting acquainted with folklore and traditions. This trend finds a sincere response, including among young people.
The third leading trend is industrial tourism, interest in which is largely driven by social media. "We live in a world of social media. Everyone, of course, strives to create such dynamic interactive content that will capture the audience. And the opportunity to see Belarusian productions firsthand, which are our calling card, including in international markets, of course, is very appealing," Yulia Kras'ko pointed out.
