Customers often choose household appliances, trusting well-known brands and attractive displays. However, behind the outward well-being, safety is not always guaranteed. August and September 2026 demonstrated this clearly, reports the Telegram channel 'Gosstandart'.

Inspections by Gosstandart checked 14 trade facilities of LLC 'DNS Elektronika' – a chain of digital and household appliance stores. The monitoring results turned out alarming.

What did the inspectors find?

First, imported household appliances of various brands were on sale without energy efficiency conformity certificates. Such a document is mandatory for any similar product on our market.

Second, some refrigerators and washing machines lacked documents confirming compliance with the EAEU technical regulations. These regulations concern the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and radioelectronics, safety of low-voltage equipment, and electromagnetic compatibility.

Inspection results

Based on the monitoring, LLC 'DNS Elektronika' is prohibited from selling 116 product names lacking conformity assessment documents. To prevent unverified goods from reappearing on shelves, Gosstandart has ordered an unscheduled inspection of stores.

What buyers should know
