The level of Belarus’s foreign‑exchange reserves covers more than 3.2 months of imports of goods and services. This is stated in the macroeconomic review of the Eurasian Development Bank (EADB), reports Belta.
In Belarus, foreign‑exchange reserves increased by more than $1 billion in August 2026 and reached $15.24 billion at the beginning of September 2026.
The main factor behind the growth was the increase in the value of gold in the reserve structure by $0.93 billion due to rising global prices (up 13.3% in a month). The growth of reserve assets in foreign currency continued (up $0.11 billion). The accumulated level of reserves provides coverage for more than 3.2 months of imports of goods and services, the EADB noted.
