In Minsk, at another meeting with business under the leadership of Nikolai Snoopkov, they discussed the saturation of the domestic market and the cost of building materials and auto parts. The main conclusion: the price situation is stable, there are no grounds for price increases.
However, trade networks and importers were warned — if there is an unjustified increase or external price pressure, price regulation will be resumed.
This is not the first round of dialogue between the authorities and business. This time, participants included representatives of MART, the Ministry of Architecture and Construction, key building materials producers, importers, and trade organizations that hold a major share of the consumer market for building materials and auto parts.
The central topic was the dynamics of consumer prices under the cancellation of regulation. Participants discussed the market situation and the analytical work of government agencies. It was stated: the situation is stable and under control. There are no grounds for growth in retail prices.
Nevertheless, trade networks and importers received a warning. If signs of unjustified price increases appear or external pressure intensifies, regulation may be resumed.
Additionally, MART together with the MNS will work on improving the analytical system. It should determine the causes and justification of retail price growth.
