From October 1, Belarusians will be able to order firewood online. This was announced by the Minister of Forestry, Sergei Uldinovich, on the air of the "First Informative" TV channel.

"This year, more than 3.1 million cubic meters of firewood have already been sold within the country. We see an increase compared to last year's level by more than 200,000 cubic meters. People are actively preparing for the heating season. I think this is not the limit, there will be serious consumption," said Sergei Uldinovich.

He noted that currently, there are no problems with purchasing firewood. "We are doing everything to make it more convenient for people to do this. From October 1, firewood can be ordered online. There is no need to go to the forestry office. Any citizen, being at home, at work, or anywhere else, can visit the website and submit an online application. In order to control the timeliness and execution of applications, journals are being formed, including those for overdue applications, - this moment will be monitored more closely using technical capabilities. In addition, we see that recently, the demand for split firewood has been growing. Therefore, we set a task to increase the volume of production of this product. If necessary, we will purchase equipment, install it, to meet the demand," the minister of forestry added.
