Modernization of production facilities in the agro-industrial complex is always in the spotlight. This allows not only to increase labor efficiency but also to create comfortable conditions for employees, because even the most modern equipment will not work without a specialist. One of the striking examples of such a transformation is the new repair workshop of SPU "Savushkin-Luch".
The agricultural enterprise "Savushkin-Luch", which is successfully managed by Natalia Levchuk today, is part of the "Santa" group of companies. Maintaining the brand in all areas is part of the activities conducted by both the company itself and agricultural specialists. The new workshop, with an area of over 1,000 square meters, was built with the aim of combining all technical processes on one site. This made it possible to accommodate equipment, spacious boxes, and facilities for mechanics in one place, which significantly simplified the maintenance and repair process. Considering the dimensions of modern aggregates, the building was designed with eight separate entrances and gates that are almost six meters wide, and the repair zones do not intersect. The modernization made it possible to solve the problem of lack of space for new aggregates, which previously had to be serviced in the open air, putting both the equipment and the workers themselves at risk. A number of innovative solutions have also been implemented. One of the key points is the introduction of modern climate control systems. These systems provide an optimal microclimate inside the premises, which is especially important when working with modern equipment and machinery, for example, when working with welding equipment.
The first deputy director, Yuri Litvinchuk, notes that the reconstruction of the machine yard began with small things: a car wash and canopies for storing equipment. The enterprise has more than 100 units of agricultural equipment, so the question of modernizing the workshops almost immediately arose. "In 2025, we agreed on an investment project and immediately started construction, using our own funds, which is almost 4 million rubles. By mid-summer 2026, we had already put it into operation," Yuri Litvinchuk says. "We provided functional storage facilities for spare parts, which can be accessed from 8 am to 8 pm daily, three inspection pits with good lighting and special lifts, so that heavy spare parts do not have to be carried by hand, and the workshops themselves are equipped with two crane beams. There is our own turning and locksmithing section, and a battery room."
They also didn't forget about the comfort of their employees: convenient dressing rooms are equipped with a clothes dryer, and the rest and dining room has a microwave, refrigerator, and kettle. Incidentally, there are few permanent workers in the workshops - two storekeepers who are responsible for issuing spare parts and fuel and lubricants, three welders, four fitters, and one turner. At the same time, any employee of the farm can use the household facilities.
During the modernization of the repair shops, the machine yard itself was also reconstructed. A car wash is available for the equipment: after working in the field, it can be rinsed off from the remains of silage, haylage, or manure before being put on the platform. Three contactless refueling stations, technical premises, and, of course, landscaping of the territory. "Savushkin-Luch" spent an additional 3.5 million rubles on these purposes, and it was worth it: the working conditions have improved several times, and only a few farms in the Brest region can boast of such a level of service.
The workers appreciate these amenities: at meetings of the labor collective, there are almost no problematic questions. Even requests for additional parking spaces for personal transport were quickly satisfied. Within two weeks, the employees were thanking them for their promptness, says Natalia Levchuk, director of the Savushkin-Luch agricultural production cooperative. It is very important to listen to your team: the opinion of the mechanics is often very correct, because specialists sometimes miss important details due to their focus on global tasks. Without contact with people, it is impossible to achieve results - they suggest a lot of useful things, noticing the development of the farm, which is why "Savushkin-Luch" is moving forward. It should be noted that in many areas, the farm sets a high standard for its colleagues in the industry. And this is not surprising: working in close connection with such a flagship as OAO "Savushkin Product", it is impossible to be an outsider.
Sowing of elite varieties of winter rye is underway in the fields using John Deere equipment. The equipment is functioning properly, and the supply of seeds is well organized. A scientific approach is applied to grass: each mowing is necessarily fertilized, which gives a good effect. Recently, an applicator was purchased - a device for the metered introduction of nitrogen fertilizers directly into the soil under the root of corn. Thanks to this, the corn of our farm stands out favorably in terms of quality even under the same external conditions, Natalia Levchuk shares information about the current state of affairs. However, the main emphasis is still on teamwork: one director cannot do everything, the contribution of each specialist is important. All services are interconnected: the veterinary service depends on engineers, plant growers depend on mechanics, accountants and economists process the results. The salaries of the main specialists are equal to each other, regardless of specialty - everyone works for the same result, there is no division into better and worse. The decision made once to work together and maintain a common level of development of the farm gives an excellent result.
