On the streets of Bobruisk there is always liveliness: hundreds of citizens use public transportation every day to get to work, study, and home. Year after year the fleet is updated, the route network expands, and Bobruichans can comfortably travel from one point in the city to another. Everything we have today is the result of the hard work of drivers, engineers, dispatchers who ensure uninterrupted operation of the city's electric transport system. The coordinated teamwork makes our city truly comfortable for living.

On September 15, ahead of National Unity Day, the art object "First City Trolleybus" was solemnly opened in Bobruisk — a symbol of memory, history, and pride in the glorious path of the city's electric transport. A joyful event with residents on Beresina Street was shared by Chairman of the Bobruisk District Administration Maxim Guren, heads of administrations, enterprises and organizations, representatives of working collectives, and youth.

The place for the monument was chosen deliberately. That is exactly from the "Evolikis" stop on August 30, 1978, the first Bobruisk trolleybus set off on its first route. ZiU-9 is one of the most mass-produced Soviet electric transport models. It was on such machines that the first drivers worked, and it is precisely these early drivers, with their warmth, that the senior generation of Bobruichans recall. This is a true symbol of memory, history, and pride.

Maxim Guren emphasized:

– Today we gathered to open a new art object — the restored trolleybus ZiU-9. This is our memory, our history, our pride. Forty-eight years ago our city became the only one in Belarus that was not an oblast center yet had trolleybus service opened. It was an event that changed the lives of thousands of Bobruichans. Now this trolleybus will become a city attraction, an art object that will remind us of our glorious path of electric transport and the people who made and continue to make our lives more comfortable. Bobruisk is a city with rich history and a bright future, for Bobruisk is us! And each of us makes our small homeland better and more beautiful through our labor.

Special words of gratitude were expressed to those who poured their soul into restoring the legendary vehicle. Thanks to their tireless work, love for details, and reverent attitude toward trolleybus history, they have returned the original appearance: recreated every interior detail, every body panel line. Now it will delight eyes and bring smiles to everyone passing by.

It is reassuring that the city is developing, with such interesting art objects appearing. I love Bobruisk, our beautiful streets and convenient trams on which one can comfortably get wherever needed. Riding public transport is always pleasant: the seats are comfortable, there are plenty of places to sit, and the ride is easy. One would like for there to be even more modern buses and trams.

Bobruisk is a city where the past and present intertwine. Anyone who passes by the legendary tram can touch history, feel its breath, and remember that we are part of a great and glorious chronicle of their native city.
