At present, the sowing of winter grain crops is in full swing. This year, the region has allocated more than twelve and a half thousand hectares for them. Already 1,330 hectares have been sown, which represents 11 % of the plan.

The largest share of the area has been sown by the agricultural enterprise “Peskovtsy” – 25 %. Meanwhile, in three farms in the Lidsky district – “Yodki‑Agro”, “Mozheykovo”, and the collective farm “Lidsky” – the harvest of sugar beet is underway, for which just over 1,200 hectares have been allocated. As of today, the plan for harvesting sweet root crops has been fulfilled at 33 %.

The gross yield amounts to almost 17,000 tonnes, with a yield of 427 centners per hectare.
