Saudi Arabia notified its European customers about the cancellation of some September crude oil shipments and the suspension of black gold loading at the Yanbu port on the Red Sea, Reuters reported citing sources.

"Saudi Arabia notified its European customers that some crude oil shipments at the end of September would be canceled," the report said.

Saudi Arabia, the world's largest crude oil exporter, was forced to suspend shipments via the East-West pipeline leading to the port on the western coast of the Red Sea after drone strikes. During the attacks on September 11, it sustained damage. Moreover, the country faces export problems due to attacks by Yemen's Houthis in the Red Sea and due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

The country's state oil and gas company Saudi Aramco declined to comment to Reuters on the situation.
