Previously there was a relaxation that allowed goods from EAEU countries to be counted in the mandatory list; this has now been revoked.❗️ Exceptions for shortages: If a particular product is not produced at all in Belarus or is produced in insufficient quantity, the regulation allows the import (including from non‑EAEU countries) to be counted.🎯 Who this concerns: The new rules apply to all types of retail outlets — from large supermarkets and discount stores to kiosks and car shops. Only specific categories of entities listed in the Ministry of Finance decree No. 703 are exempt.

What businesses need to do by September 10: Retail entities have a 15‑day transition period to carry out two key actions:❇️ Revise their assortment lists to meet the new requirements and coordinate them with local executive authorities. ❇️ Physically ensure that the required quantity of Belarusian goods is actually available on the store shelves.
