Belarusians will be able to order firewood online starting October 1. This was announced by the Minister of Forestry, Sergei Uldinovich, in an appearance on the "First Informational" TV channel.

"This year, more than 3.1 million cu m of firewood have already been sold within the country. We see growth of more than 200 thousand cu m compared to last year. People are actively preparing for the heating season. I think this is not the limit; there will be further significant consumption," said Sergei Uldinovich.

He noted that there are currently no problems with purchasing firewood. "We are doing everything to make it more convenient for people. Starting October 1, firewood can be ordered online. There will be no need to go to the forestry office. Any citizen, from home, at work, or anywhere else, can visit the website and submit an online application. To control the timeliness and fulfillment of applications, logs will be maintained, including a log of overdue applications; this aspect will be monitored more closely using technical capabilities. Furthermore, we have seen recently that the demand for split firewood is growing. Therefore, we have set ourselves the task of increasing the production volume of this product. If necessary, we will purchase and install equipment to meet the demand," added the Minister of Forestry.
