
Real wages in Belarus grew by 7.5% over the half-year
tania August 28, 2026 11:08 Real wages in Belarus over the first half of 2026 increased by 7.5%. First and foremost, the results of fulfilling the tripartite general agreement were summarized at the Federation of Trade Unions. Thus, population incomes exceeded the projected figures by twofold.
Real wages and the labor market situation
Consequently, sustained growth in payments continued at the country's enterprises. In addition, the number of organizations with low wages has decreased almost threefold. At the same time, the incomes of public sector workers reached 81% of the average republican level.
At the same time, unemployment in the country fell to a record low of 2.2%. However, the trade unions recorded about 220 cases of payment delays by employers. Moreover, the majority of violations were uncovered in agriculture and construction. Inspectors are already taking strict measures to ensure full settlement with employees.
