In Belarus, a reconstruction of the Kamenny Log road crossing at the Belarus-Lithuania border will take place. Works will begin this year and should be completed phased out by 2029. An increase in the number of lanes (channels) for vehicle passage through the border is planned, according to BELTA.

— The throughput capacity will increase threefold and, according to estimates, amount to approximately 6,000 vehicles per day, recalled Viktor Zubik, head of the main management office of the customs control organization GTK.

There are 26 road crossings in the republic (total throughput – 32,000 vehicles per day) and 13 railway crossings nationwide. Over the past five years, 12 crossings have been reconstructed, including the Berstovitsa crossing. Modern equipment is being introduced.

Special attention is paid to creating comfortable conditions in the waiting areas. Remote registration has been made available for passenger transport. Additionally, since January 1 of the current year, online booking for car traffic has been implemented, and since April 1 for cargo vehicles, a service such as booking a date for crossing the border has been introduced. As Viktor Zubik noted, it is in demand.

Electronic declaration, electronic document flow, automatic issuance of customs documents, and declarations for goods (without human participation) are widely applied.
