Belarusian machinery is very popular in Zimbabwe, emphasized in an interview with the ONT television channel President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa, reports BELTA.

When asked whether ordinary Zimbabweans know about Belarus or only at the level of contract signatures, Emmerson Mnangagwa replied: “Wherever you go, in every province where there is a tractor, it is most likely BELARUS. If you look at the machinery in my farm, most of it is of Belarusian production.” The African republic's president admitted that on weekends he works on his own farm, and his fleet includes two BELARUS tractors.

“Your machinery is very popular here. That’s because you offer us very favorable operating conditions. We are very satisfied, and I personally thank my brother — President Lukashenko,” said the Zimbabwean leader.

“I don’t think there is any place in our country where people don’t know about Belarus. First, your tractors are everywhere. Second, our friendship. Believe me, you don’t need to conduct surveys to understand whether Zimbabweans know about Belarus. They do! On every street and in every village. While we have agricultural machinery from other countries, Belarusian equipment is unequivocally dominant,” added Emmerson Mnangagwa.

He also shared his vision of the dividends that strengthening the positions of African countries will bring to the world as a whole in the context of a geopolitical storm, when the center of global politics and economics is shifting toward the Global South and East, where new opportunities are opening and the role of the African continent is being amplified many times.
