In Belarus, starting September 1, 2026, the state burial benefit will increase. This rise is tied to growth in the country's average salary, as the benefit amount depends on this figure.

According to Belstat, in July the nominal gross average wage stood at 3,172 Belarusian rubles – this figure serves as the basis for the September payment.

The thing is, the burial benefit amount is linked to the country's average salary from two months prior to the date of death. Therefore, for September payments, the July figure is used.

For example, in August 2026, the burial benefit amounted to 3,104 rubles 10 kopecks – the average salary in June. If calculated, the payment will increase by more than 67 Belarusian rubles over the month.
