At the "Kozlovichi" checkpoint, Brest customs officers stopped a DAF truck belonging to a Polish carrier. The truck was coming from France and was carrying cargo, part of which was not declared in the accompanying documents, the customs authorities reported.

The inspection was conducted using an inspection and examination complex. Further examination confirmed that over 2,000 units of goods were being illegally imported.

The value of the undeclared shipment was over 200,000 rubles, and the amount of customs payments due for it exceeded 50,000 rubles.

An administrative process has been initiated under Article 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The sanction under this article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of the administrative offense.
