What has changed in Belarus with the onset of autumn? We tell you about the main innovations

The base rate for calculating salaries of public sector employees has risen to 300 rubles (it was 297);

All types of labor pensions are increasing on average by 5%. The old-age pension will reach 1,125 rubles, a growth of 14.8% over the year. The amount of the increase is individual;

The funeral allowance has grown by over 67 rubles. The change is linked to the rise in average wages, to which the allowance amount is tied;

A new tariff for traveling on toll roads to Minsk has been set for cargo vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons when passing through two or more road segments (M2, M3, M4, M6/E28, P1, P23, P28). Payment is calculated applying an increased coefficient;

Certain brands of cigarettes from the Neman factory have gone up by 20 kopecks;

Schools have introduced an updated computer science curriculum for students in grades 6–9, including the study of artificial intelligence;

More than 300 educational institutions in the country are switching to digital gradebooks and diaries as part of the automated "Electronic School" system;

Norms for one-time meals are changing. The single meal during the first shift is now called a second breakfast, and during the second shift it is called an afternoon snack, consisting of three dishes. Food expenses will grow by 5%. The installation of vending machines with products from Belarusian manufacturers is now permitted;

Innovations for tenth-graders: boys will begin a 10-hour course on studying unmanned aerial vehicles, and girls will have a medical training block with an emphasis on practice;

New electives have appeared: "Fundamentals of Financial Literacy" (grades 1–4), "Young Engineer-Physicist" (grade 8), and a music course on playing the flute (grades 1–9);

An official service for finding tutors with data on education and the absence of criminal records has been launched;

The procedure for inspecting children in schools has been simplified. It is now permitted in the presence of a teacher without the mandatory participation of parents.
