photo This week's regular meeting with the chairman of the district executive committee kicked off on a pleasant note. The reason for this was the results of the vibrant exhibition-competition "Brand of Lidchina in Mega-Format," which became one of the most spectacular events of City Day. As a reminder, participants had to transform the main products of their enterprises into giant art objects. All participants in the competition received diplomas in their categories. The main intrigue was also resolved: third place was shared by OAO "Torfbriketny Zavod "Ditva" and the Lida Museum of History and Art; second place went to OAO "Lidapishchekontsentraty" and OAO "Lidakhleboprodukt"; first place was confidently taken by Lida State Unitary Enterprise of Housing and Communal Services. And the Grand Prix rightfully went to OAO "Lida Canned Milk Plant."

Alexander Versotsky personally thanked the teams for their participation and separately noted the well-coordinated work of all services that ensured the celebration. According to him, the large-scale event, which combined City Day and the "Lidbeer" festival, was held at the highest level not only thanks to the enterprises and creative workers in the cultural sphere – a significant contribution was made by police officers and ROSHS employees, who ensured safety and complete order, as well as trade workers who managed to offer guests a worthy assortment.

photo Moving on to work-related topics... The head of the district set a clear task for the agricultural sector: to completely harvest the crops from the fields by September 4. In fact, the grain harvest has already been completed, except for small areas with lupine and other crops in some farms.

In parallel, the construction of calf prophylactories is approaching the finish line – the head of the district gave this work special recognition, emphasizing the tremendous efforts of the managers who undertook the construction of livestock facilities.

Among the current autumn tasks are also straw removal, fall plowing, and sowing of winter crops, which lay the foundation for the future harvest.

photo The topic of bringing order to the land was not left without traditional attention. Alexander Evtukh, head of the land management department, presented the results of a fresh monitoring of public areas in the city of Lida.

Garage cooperatives were on the agenda at the planning meeting: their work is gradually becoming more systematic. Over the year, six new chairpersons have been elected in the cooperatives. Monitoring covers not only the election campaigns in the associations but also compliance with regulations.

Special attention was given to the readiness of schools for September 1. Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Igor Kashkevich reported that all educational institutions are ready for the new school year. The builders did an excellent job — school cafeterias have been upgraded, sports halls renovated, thermal rehabilitation carried out, and other significant volumes of work completed. Everything was done strictly on schedule so that the first bell could ring within renovated walls.
