Often, when you read about victories in harvesting campaigns, you imagine the leader as a person seasoned by life and professional experience. Young driver of OAO "Bakunovo" (Ivanovsky district) Vadim Borichevsky completely shatters this established stereotype.

In this year's harvest season, 22-year-old Vadim Sergeevich surprised many because he turned out to be among the winners of the regional competition among young drivers of vehicles. But, probably, the main thing is that he once again understood a simple truth: you have to try – then everything will work out. A similar situation, requiring a mobilization of strength, happened after he finished the ninth grade of secondary school No. 4 in the city of Ivanovo. Then Vadim made a choice in favor of the mechanic profession. He acquired the necessary knowledge and skills at the Pinsk Agrarian and Technical College. Now – a new step in his life: he is a second-year correspondence student at the Belarusian State Agrarian and Technical University in Minsk. And although the next session is coming up very soon, today we are talking with Vadim Sergeevich about something else – about his labor exploits during the 2026 harvest.

– This harvest is the first in my life. I was offered to work on grain transportation during the harvest season, and I agreed. It was unexpected and pleasant that everything worked out. Especially since I didn't join the work from the very beginning, – said Vadim Borichevsky.

However, this did not prevent the newcomer, who had previously worked as a mechanic-driver at OAO "Bakunovo," from being among the prizewinners in the internal farm competition among drivers involved in transporting the gold of the fields. This time, the leader was the experienced driver Sergey Pavelchuk. It seems that Vadim Borichevsky will emulate him and other capable machine operators in the future, when he receives an offer to get behind the wheel of a vehicle again during the literally and figuratively hot period. The young front-runner, who recently took charge of the workshops, does not hide the fact that there is definitely a stimulus for the transition.

– The management of the agricultural enterprise materially encourages the work efforts of employees. For me, as, probably, for many young people, this is a strong motivation, – Vadim asserts.

Director of the agricultural enterprise OAO "Bakunovo" Yuri Dyadyuk sees great potential in Vadim Borichevsky, and with him, as well as with other promising personnel, he associates the hope for new victories of this farm, which he has been heading for the fourth year already.
