Autumn work on Mstislavshchina is gaining momentum. Winter rye is already sprouting, and winter barley sowing is being actively carried out. Work is proceeding simultaneously in several directions: while some mechanizers are sowing, others are clearing new areas and preparing the ground for upcoming seeder passes. The overall sowing pace depends on how smoothly the entire chain operates.

The farms in the district are set to plant 19,600 hectares of winter grains. By September 11, work had covered 3,740 hectares – 19 percent of the plan.

To prevent the tractors from sitting idle, preparation of future fields is underway in parallel. In the district, 7,820 hectares have been plowed for winter crops, with more than 20 tractors with plows working on the plowing.

Following the plow come the aggregates used to prepare the soil directly under seeding. So far, 4,627 hectares have been prepared. A total of 18 units of equipment have been deployed for these operations.

OOO "Mazolovskoye"

It is clearly visible how this sequence is organized at OOO "Mazolovskoye". This autumn, 2,450 hectares of winter grains need to be sown. The first 270 hectares have already been sown.

While seeders are planting winter wheat seeds in one field, preparation continues on other fields.

— We are trying not to waste time right now. We have already plowed 955 hectares by this point, of which 510 hectares have already been prepared directly under sowing, — says chief agronomist Nikolai Polugodkov of the farm.

Alexander Snitko and Ruslan Sokol are currently operating the seeders.

For Alexander Antonovich, this current sowing season is yet another stage in his agricultural year. He has worked at "Mazolovskoye" since 2001. All summer the mechanizer was occupied with feed preparation, and in autumn he went out into the field with a seeder.

— Only one job ends, and the next one begins immediately. I finished feed preparation, now I'm sowing. The main thing is to monitor the equipment and ensure that sowing goes properly, — says Alexander Snitko.

Around the seeders, technical activity does not stop. Boris Frolov is responsible for seed transport and loading. He has worked at the farm since 2021, and during the harvest he hauled grain off the combines.

The same intense workload extends throughout the entire district. Right after the seeders, thousands of hectares of winter grains remain to be sown. The autumn campaign is picking up speed. It is crucial that every link – from plow to seeder – functions without delays.
