This year, the Kalinkovichi Repair and Mechanical Plant has launched the production of new equipment — the nine-furrow semi-mounted reversible plow PPOZ-(8+1)-40. The model is the result of a joint development by the enterprise and the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Arable Farming.

The first prototype successfully passed tests in spring, and in June it was presented at the international exhibition "Belagro-2026." The plow is designed for smooth plowing of various soil types, including stony soils. The design features spring protection for the plow bodies and a furrow widener. The unit is compatible with 5th traction class tractors and has already proven itself as an indispensable helper in agriculture.

At present, the plant has received an order for 35 such plows for farmers of the Gomel region. One third of the batch has already been assembled, shipped to customers, and is actively being used for autumn plowing.

We visited the production facility and saw how this "giant" is born. We visited the plant's workshops and made sure that the production process of such a giant is quite labor-intensive. It begins with the blanking of components, which undergo laser cutting, shearing, and bending. Welding and manual assembly are carried out in the metal structures workshop. After that, all assembled units undergo sandblasting, are sent for painting, and final assembly.

Work in the workshops never stops for a moment: they not only assemble new plows but also produce flax-harvesting equipment and machinery, grain processing equipment, and a wide range of spare parts.
