
Grain Harvest In: Belarusian Farmers Gather 8.7 Million Tons of Harvest
tania August 26, 2026 11:49 Belarusian farmers have threshed 8.7 million tons of grain, including rapeseed. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. First of all, according to operational data as of August 26, the total volume amounted to 8,713 thousand tons. Thus, the harvesting campaign is successfully approaching completion.
Grain Harvested: Results by Region
By region, the harvest is as follows: Minsk region — 2,347 thousand tons, Grodno region — 1,771 thousand tons, Brest region — 1,637 thousand tons, Mogilev region — 1,074 thousand tons, Gomel region — 1,054 thousand tons, Vitebsk region — 830 thousand tons. Consequently, the Minsk region remains the leader, while the Vitebsk region is the outsider.
In addition, grain crops (including rapeseed, excluding corn) have been harvested from 2,360 thousand hectares. This accounts for 95% of the total area of 2,432 thousand hectares.
Fulfillment of the State Order and Forage Procurement
The following has been delivered against the state order: food grain — 585 thousand tons (88% of the planned 663 thousand tons), malting barley — 82 thousand tons (95% of the planned 86 thousand tons). At the same time, grasses have been mowed for the second cut on 874 thousand hectares (86% of the plan).
Hay harvested — 538 thousand tons, or 75% of the plan. Furthermore, silage harvested amounts to 795 thousand tons (4%), and haylage — 11,906 thousand tons (83%). At the same time, grass forage totals 3,830 thousand tons of feed units (38%).
The availability of mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) for winter sowing stands at 253 thousand tons of active ingredient, which amounts to 147% of the plan.
