The Ministry of Taxes and Duties reminded about the liability for late payment of the tax on professional income (NPD). This was announced by the MTD, as reported by sb.by.

Starting from July 1, 2026, a minimum tax on professional income has been introduced — 45 rubles (18 rubles for pensioners). First of all, this innovation concerns individuals who are registered as NPD payers on the 1st day of the month but do not carry out any activity, that is, do not generate receipts in the "Profdokhod" app, as well as individuals whose calculated tax amount based on their income is less than the minimum.

The provisions of the tax legislation also provide for stricter liability for late payment of the tax on professional income. If an individual allows late payment of the NPD for three consecutive months, such a payer is forcibly removed from the register by the tax authority. The tax debt will be recovered forcibly, including through the bodies of compulsory enforcement.

"If you have decided to deregister as an NPD payer, this must be done independently through the 'Profdokhod' app by going to the 'Settings' — 'Account' — 'Deregistration' section. If you have deleted the app but did not deregister before deleting it, you need to download and install it again, and then complete the deregistration procedure. If you have forgotten your login and password, it can be recovered remotely through the 'Profdokhod' app or by contacting any MTD inspectorate," the ministry explained.
