As deputy head of the Zhlobin customs post, Alina Litosh demonstrates her dedication to the service through her work. She shows reasonable initiative, demands high standards from subordinates, and takes great personal responsibility in carrying out her duties.

First steps into the profession

After graduating from Secondary School No. 9, Alina Evgenyevna enrolled in the philological faculty of Gomel State University named after F. Skorina. She was passionate about the humanities. Alina Litosh had planned to teach Belarusian language and literature or English, but unexpectedly found herself interested in the customs field.

– At the training center of the Mogilev customs, I completed retraining courses, – the interviewee recalls. – Experienced colleagues and a dedicated mentor helped me master the profession, for which I am very grateful. I successfully passed the certification and began my career at the Zhlobin customs post (PTO “Zhlobin Metallurgical,” which is part of the Gomel customs). And I have been working in the customs field for 28 years now.

Alina Evgenyevna began as an inspector. Knowledge of English proved useful when working with documents. Self‑control, discipline, punctuality, and diligence, inherent to our heroine, helped her advance in her profession. She continued her service as a senior inspector, then as chief inspector, and performed the duties of senior shift supervisor. Alina Litosh constantly pursued self‑education, studying the regulatory documents of customs regulation. In 2019, Alina Evgenyevna completed training at the State Institute for the Further Qualification and Retraining of Customs Personnel of the Republic of Belarus.

Her customs career

Since January 2026, Alina Litosh has been working as deputy head of the Zhlobin customs post. Her workday begins with a briefing of the personnel. Throughout the shift, Alina Evgenyevna provides operational leadership to the inspector team, organizes customs operations, conveys necessary information to employees, and prepares reports.

– All tasks set before us must be fulfilled in full, exactly on time, and in accordance with the legislation, – the heroine explains. – It's not difficult to lead a team where each member knows their official duties, is familiar with the norms of customs regulation, and strictly adheres to them. When conducting customs control, we perform customs operations in accordance with the declared customs procedures for goods through the Center for Electronic Declaration (CED). It represents a group of customs offices where operations are carried out using the technology of remote release of goods and the mechanism of automatic distribution of customs documents both between customs clearance points (CCP) and between officials who release goods within the framework of one CCP. Declarants from any corner of Belarus submit customs declarations, and the CED automatically distributes them to customs clearance points throughout the country. Incidentally, up to 999 goods can be declared in one declaration, and the goods can be located anywhere in Belarus. Specialists also carry out the release of passenger cars imported by citizens for personal use.

The daily work of a customs officer includes automobile control, verification of customs transit, customs payments, classification of goods, compliance with prohibitions and restrictions, and other tasks.

For high performance in work, exemplary fulfillment of official duties, and special merits, Alina Litosh has been awarded the breast badges of the State Customs Committee "For Excellence" of the 1st and 2nd degrees.

Those who love and support her are always nearby

Alina Evgenievna and her husband Vladimir Viktorovich have raised a son and a daughter. Anton followed in his father's footsteps and became a metallurgist. Irena, like her grandmother, chose the profession of a medic. The family loves to spend their weekends at their country house.

– There's fresh air here, birds sing, and there's an opportunity to take a break from mental work, – Alina Litosh notes. – And also, the harvests of vegetables, berries, and my lush flower beds bring joy.

Since childhood, our heroine has never parted with books. The habit of reading in the evenings or on weekends has firmly taken root in her life. Alina Evgenievna loves classical works of Russian and foreign writers. According to her, books develop one spiritually and intellectually, help broaden one's horizons, and form a certain system of life values. She is a happy person because she has dear and loved ones nearby who always support and inspire her to move forward.
