The Ministry of Labor clarified the nuances of pensions for individual entrepreneurs, writes Tочка.

It depends on the length of employment, the amount of income from which contributions were paid into the FSZN, and rights to bonuses/raises.

According to the ministry, the average pension by age is 1,125 rubles.

But the ministry emphasizes that if a person has paid contributions for at least 20 years (minimum insurance tenure) from income not exceeding the minimum wage, then the right is formed only for the minimum labor pension by age. Today it amounts to 600 rubles.

Structure of contributions to FSZN

The amount of mandatory insurance contributions per month equals 35% of the minimum wage. As of 1 January 2026, the minimum wage is 858 rubles. For individual entrepreneurs, lawyers, and notaries, mandatory contributions include two parts:

pension insurance (29% of the minimum wage)

social insurance (6% of the minimum wage) – for temporary disability, pregnancy, and childbirth.

Craftsmen, owners of agro-entrepreneurial estates, and single‑tax payers are required to contribute only one part – pension insurance (29% of the minimum wage).

Contributions also depend on the type of tax. An individual entrepreneur who pays income tax must contribute 35% of the actual income, provided that the income is less than 12 times the minimum wage. If the income is at least 12 times the minimum wage, then the contribution is 35% of 12 times the minimum wage.
