A delegation from the Surkhandarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Mstislavl district as part of a trip to the Mogilev region. Guests were presented with the economic and investment potential of the district, told about the key areas of its development, and opportunities for further cooperation.

The delegation in Mstislavl district was greeted by the chairman of the Mstislavl District Executive Committee, Yuri Blakhin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation, primarily in the economic sphere.

"Mstislavl district is developing dynamically today. We are placing our bet first and foremost on the agro-industrial complex and are ready to offer partners opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. We are interested in attracting new technologies and experience to the production sphere," the chairman of the district executive committee noted.

Industrial Potential of Mstislavl Region

Guests were told about the leading enterprises of the district and the results of their work. Particular attention was paid to agriculture, flax processing, garment manufacturing, and the food industry.

One example of the development of the industrial potential of Mstislavl Region was a garment factory where the investment project "One District — One Project" was implemented. Today, the enterprise has modern production facilities and provides jobs for about 200 people. The delegation was also presented with the work of a branch of Mstislavl's OJSC "Babushkina Krynka." It is one of the significant enterprises of the district's processing industry.

The role of OJSC "Mstislavllen" was noted separately. The production of flax fiber remains one of the traditional areas of the Mstislavl Region's economy and an important component of the district's industrial potential.

Guests also familiarized themselves with the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex. The district is working on developing crop production and restoring the livestock sector. Conditions are being created in the Mstislavl Region for further growth of agricultural production.

As part of the presentation, the delegation was also presented with other areas of Mstislavl Region's development — construction and improvement, the social sphere, education, healthcare, and tourism. Particular attention was paid to personnel training. Mstislavl State Construction College provides enterprises of the region with specialists who are in demand on the labor market.

Tourist potential of the district

A separate part of the meeting was devoted to the tourist potential of the district. The guests were told about new tourist routes, an eco-trail in the agrotown of Khodasy, a water route by kayak, as well as the medieval culture festival "Knight Fest". They also presented opportunities for agritourism.

— We are open for dialogue and ready to discuss various directions of cooperation, not only economic but also in the sphere of culture, education, and tourism, — the head of the district emphasized.
