Millions of unpaid taxes – what was found among taxi operators in Belarus

During the first eight months of 2026, tax authorities examined the operations of more than 10,000 business entities engaged in taxi car transportation. As a result of the analysis, an additional 28.8 million rubles were added to the budget. This was reported by the Ministry of Taxes and Fees.

Tax officials analyzed the operations of more than 10,000 carriers.

According to the Ministry of Taxes and Fees, during the first eight months of the current year, the desk control units carried out an analysis concerning 10,490 business entities.

The inspections revealed risks among some carriers. Tax authorities sent 2,368 notifications to them. Subsequently, an additional 28.8 million rubles were calculated into the budget.

Not all carriers voluntarily corrected the violations.

For the unscrupulous carriers who did not respond to the notifications and did not voluntarily fulfill their tax obligations, the tax authorities prepared 93 desk audit reports.

As a result of these audits, 11.6 million rubles of taxes are due to be paid into the budget.

In addition, 80 culpable individuals were held liable for administrative offenses. The total amount of administrative fines imposed amounted to 1.8 million rubles.

Information on another 43 business entities was forwarded to law enforcement authorities for legal assessment in accordance with criminal procedure law.

In one company, tax underpayment and uncredited revenue were discovered.

The Ministry of Taxes and Fees provided a specific example. During a desk audit, specialists identified a reduction in the tax base for VAT and profit tax for the period from 2023 to the first quarter of 2025.
