Massive Sale of School Supplies to Begin in Belarus on July 15
Savetskaya Vёska July 8, 2025 17:12 The season of trading in school supplies will kick off in Belarus on July 15. The task of the retail outlets is to present a wide assortment of clothing, footwear, and school stationery. This was announced at a seminar on preparation for the school season by Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Svetlana Korotkevich, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The seminar was attended by representatives of business entities and government agencies.
As Svetlana Korotkevich noted, trade entities have actively engaged in the work. Approximately, sets of clothing and footwear for schoolchildren (boys and girls) will cost from Br400 to Br476. "These are the maximum figures. By age category, the amount will differ: sets for boys in grades 1-4 will cost Br64 — Br400, grades 5-9 — Br93 — Br441, grades 10-11 — Br125 — Br476; for girls in grades 1-4 — Br69 — Br325, grades 5-9 — Br71 — Br373, grades 10-11 — Br89 — Br423," she said.
Stationery will also be available to choose from. Prices have increased only slightly.
A large-scale sale of school supplies, including school fairs, will be organized starting from mid-July. Enterprises of the Bellegprom concern and other Belarusian manufacturers will actively join in.
Svetlana Korotkevich separately focused on the sale of domestically produced goods. Their share is planned to be increased. Already over 100 retail outlets have joined the MART agreement on increasing the efficiency of sales of Belarusian goods. The document is posted on the agency's website. In 2025, the share of sales of domestically produced goods should amount to 63%, including 85% for food products and 38.1% for the non-food group overall in the republic.
