The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) frequently uncovers instances of significant price increases for goods (works, services) that are not subject to government regulation. At the same time, such increases provoke legitimate complaints from both citizens and businesses.
For example, OJSC "Belmagistralavtotrans" more than doubled the fee (from 20.40 rubles to 42 rubles) for storing a vehicle weighing from 0.5 to 4 tons and valued at up to 50 thousand US dollars at a temporary storage warehouse, starting from the 11th day. Taking into account the appeals from citizens and the normalization of the situation at the temporary storage warehouse (improvement of weather conditions and reduction of additional costs), the fee was reduced. However, the issue remains under MART's supervision.
The ministry drew attention to the fact that when making decisions on price increases, it is necessary to adhere to nationwide approaches to ensuring fair pricing, including the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated November 3, 2025 No. 385 "On the Most Important Indicators and Parameters of the Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2026" regarding compliance with the inflation rate not exceeding 7% by the end of 2026.
All cases of substantial price increases for goods (works, services) should be reported to MART at the following phone numbers:
