Participants discussed a range of issues concerning everyday life and business operations in union countries, according to the Telegram channel "Gostandart."

State Procurement Will Become More Accessible

The Council changed the rules for determining the country of origin for certain products. The discussion focused on liquid nitrogen and oxygen, medical devices, bearings, tractors, excavators and blowers. For new product categories, production conditions were established. All EAEU member states agreed on these conditions. Manufacturers will now have broader access to state procurement within the union.

Toy Labeling: Less Confusion

Changes to the technical regulation "On Safety of Toys" (TR TS 08/2011) have been agreed upon. In Article 4, marking rules were clarified. Now, information from the manufacturer, importer or seller must not contradict each other. It is prohibited to change the toy's purpose, age rating, warnings and safety usage restrictions. Additionally, it is forbidden to mislead consumers regarding the intended use and safety of the product.

Agricultural Forecasts

A draft directive by EMPC has been approved. Joint forecasts for the development of the agro-industrial complex have been endorsed. Furthermore, demand-supply balances for agricultural products, food, flax fiber, leather raw materials, cotton fiber and wool have been coordinated for 2026-2027.

Electroenergy: Unified Rules

To eliminate inconsistencies, changes were introduced to the rules governing information exchange and mutual trade of electrical energy. The procedure for determining and allocating capacity of interstate sections on the common EAEU electricity market was also clarified.

What Comes Next?

The Council of the EAEU has approved a draft agenda for the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. It is planned for Minsk on October 2, 2026.

The adopted decisions cover very different spheres. But they are all aimed at one thing: making the rules of working in the union clearer, and citizens' lives safer and more convenient.
