Belarus's gold and foreign currency reserves increased by $39.7 million over the month

Mogilev District - Pridneprovskaya Niva August 10, 2026 9:08 Belarus's gold and foreign currency reserves stood at $14.2 billion at the beginning of August, having increased by $39.7 million during July. This was reported by BELTA, citing the weekly macroeconomic review of the Eurasian Development Bank.

According to analysts, this was facilitated by a $35.3 million increase in the value of reserve assets in foreign currency, against the backdrop of foreign currency supply exceeding demand.

"The volume of international reserves continues to correspond to three months of imports of goods and services, which meets the international criterion of reserve adequacy," the experts added.
