EDB analysts noted:
— The key factor in the acceleration was agriculture: an earlier harvest ensured output growth of 12.9% after 4.7% in the first half of the year. Industrial output increased by 0.1% in January-July after a decline of 0.7% in January-June, against the backdrop of high domestic consumer and investment activity, as well as expanding fuel demand in Russia.
Experts added that retail trade turnover grew by 8.1% and investments by 4% in January-July.
— The value added of the "Information and Communications" sector grew by 4.9% amid increasing orders. Construction continues to recover from the downturn associated with abnormally low temperatures in January-February 2026: contract work volume grew by 2.3% in January-July. In the absence of new shocks, Belarus's economic growth may exceed our forecast and amount to more than 2% by the end of 2026, — summarized EDB analysts.
