Alexander Lukashenko told journalists about the resumption of supplies of Belarusian potassium fertilizers to the United States. He also demanded that funds frozen in Citibank be unblocked.

The President said this in the Baranovichsky district of Brest region, – his press service informs.

What exactly the President said

Speaking to journalists, Lukashenko described the situation with supplies in precise detail:

We are currently loading potassium — selling it to the United States of America.

According to him, the loading of the vessel should be completed already on September 12.

At the same time, the Belarusian leader emphasized that large volumes cannot be provided immediately: the product is already contracted for the current year, and prospects for next year still need to be discussed.

The American side is being offered exactly those batches that have become free.

Debt

As a separate block in the statement, a financial demand was voiced. Lukashenko said that $43–44 million belonging to the Belarusian side are stuck in Citibank. According to him, the money was transferred by a company that was doing business with Minsk.

But return the debt. $43-44 million of ours are stuck in Citibank - the company that cooperated with us paid the money. It's stuck in rich America. Please, return this money to us, – Lukashenko stated.
