GTK warns Belarusians about imminent exhaustion of the preferential electric vehicle import quota

The State Customs Committee reported this, according to sb.by. — As of September 4, the remaining volume of the quota for preferential importation of such vehicles by citizens amounts to 98 units, — the committee noted.

It was previously reported that in July the quota for duty-free importation of electric vehicles by legal entities was exhausted. When planning further imports, the need to pay an import customs duty of 15% of the vehicle's value is taken into account. At the same time, the exhaustion of the quota does not affect the ability of legal entities to apply VAT exemption in respect of electric vehicles whose release date is no more than 5 years ago.
