Urban infrastructure development: a new café is being built in the center of Gorok

Deputy Chairman of the district executive committee for economic affairs Irina BARKOVSKAYA told journalists that a new establishment is planned to open there.

As Irina Nikolayevna reported, an auction was held at the end of last year, at which the right to lease a plot of land adjacent to the “Universal” retail complex was acquired. Previously, the famous children’s café “Lakoma” was located there. Over the course of the year, all necessary design and cost‑estimating documents were prepared. And recently, work has begun. Construction is being overseen by the Capital Construction Management of the Goritsky District.

– A two‑storey building for a public catering facility is planned. The first floor, covering 170 square meters, will house a café, and the second floor will contain a banquet hall, – said the deputy chairman. – The developer, LLC “Shawarma Gorok,” plans to raise about one million rubles for the construction of the facility, creating 10 new jobs.
