In Soligorsk, 26 employees were not paid their salaries from January through June 2026. The head of the organization turned out to owe a substantial sum, according to the local prosecutor's office.

Specialists discovered the violation during an audit of compliance with labor legislation. The workers left without money were employed at one of the sports organizations.

"These violations of labor legislation resulted in significant harm to the rights and lawful interests of citizens," the prosecutor's office emphasized.

How the boss was punished

Based on the results of the inspection, the prosecutor issued an order to the chairman of the public association demanding that measures be taken to pay the employees the amounts owed.

The debt that had to be settled amounted to 270,000 (local currency), or more than 10,000 per employee.

Along with this, an instruction was sent to the Slutsk inter-district department of the Minsk regional administration of the Department of State Labor Inspection to prepare an administrative offense case against the head of the organization.

In the end, the workers received their money, and the chairman of the public association was held administratively liable. True, the punishment was not very harsh — a fine equal to 4 base units.

Didn't get paid — what to do

If your wages are not being paid on time, there are several simple steps you can take to achieve justice. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection explained how to do it.

First — find out the payment dates established at your organization. Wages must be paid at least twice a month, and the specific dates are specified in the employment contract.

Second — try to demand payment of what you have earned. And it is best to do this in writing.

First, send the employer a written demand to pay your wages, and prepare two copies of the demand. Give one to the employer and keep the second one for yourself, with a note confirming it was accepted.
