For an agricultural organization, the forage harvesting campaign is no less an important and intense period — a time when the question of livestock wintering and the enterprise's food stability for the entire coming year is decided. To see how this work is organized, a correspondent from "LK" went to OAO "Urozhainy."

A full-fledged forage harvesting conveyor is deployed in the fields of the farm today. At the head of the column is a self-propelled forage harvester KVK-800, a modern multifunctional machine designed for mowing, chopping, and loading green mass into transport vehicles. The machine operator working on it is Andrey Sychev — an experienced specialist who knows well the value of every hectare and every minute.

Also involved here is the KRONE BiG X 680 forage harvester, which belongs to the class of maximum-performance equipment with a power output of 687 hp. It impresses not only with its efficiency and chopping quality, but also with its comfort and ease of operation. Two powerful units ensure a high pace of corn harvesting for silage.

The transportation of green mass is organized no less cohesively. A whole team of machine operators works on this section. The Kirovets K-742M tractor with a PSS-25 trailer is driven by Andrey Skochko. It is noteworthy that his daughter works alongside her father — Anna, who operates a heavy-duty truck of domestic production. This is a striking example of how devotion to the land is passed down from generation to generation. Vasily Kabik works on the same Kirovets K-742M with a PSS-25. Andrey Maksimchik operates an MTZ-1221 tractor with a PMF-20 trailer, Dmitry Danilenko is at the wheel of an MTZ-1221 with a PS-45, Alexander Katsubo is on an MTZ-1221 with a PSTB-17, and Alexey Kononov works on an MTZ-1523 with a PST-9 trailer. KAMAZ trucks are piloted by Vladimir Sushchenok and Andrey Gavrilenko, and another MAZ is driven by Vitaly Aleksandronets. Along with them, other farm workers also labor on the transportation line, ensuring the uninterruptedness of the forage harvesting process. They all work clearly and cohesively, not allowing either the combines or the trench to stand idle.

The quality of packing the green mass is the responsibility of Alexander Byzenko, operating a Kirovets K-742M, and Alexander Davydovsky, working with an Amkodor-342 loader. The nutritional value of the finished feed depends directly on the quality of packing — every participant in the process understands this truth.

In parallel with the main work, the farm does not lose sight of other agronomic tasks: straw is being baled and hauled away from the fields, and soil preparation for winter grain crop sowing is actively underway. Agricultural workers know how to handle several directions at once — and this is the key to success.

The results speak for themselves. According to data as of September 2, the farm has already prepared 3,743 tons of corn green mass. The overall plan for silage amounts to 26,000 tons — a significant volume that demands clear organization of labor and the full commitment of the entire team.

The farm understands: food security is built precisely during these autumn days. And the people working on forage harvesting are doing everything they can to ensure that winter passes for the livestock with plenty to eat and without any strain.
