
In the Mogilev Region, sowing of winter crops such as corn, rapeseed, and wheat has begun. According to the agriculture committee, 14 % of corn acreage and 36 % of rapeseed have been harvested, along with 11 % of sugar beet and 16 % of potato. Average yield is 465 c/ha, though not all districts have finished work. The region is also collecting buckwheat, millet, and flax, and has produced over 1.9 million tonnes of silage—46 thousand tonnes more than last year. Feed production is planned to rise to 28–30 c/head of livestock.
