A chance encounter resulted in a significant financial loss for a resident of Mogilev: a man she met on the street secretly stole her bank card and spent money from it. This was reported by the UVDD of the Mogilev Oblispolkom, according to sb.by.

A 56-year-old local resident applied to the Oktyabrsky ROVD of Mogilev, who discovered the loss of her bank card and funds from it.

It turned out that the woman met a 39-year-old man on the street, who suggested continuing their conversation at his home. While drinking alcohol, she did not notice how her bank card disappeared from her bag - when the guest was about to leave, the host of the apartment secretly pulled the card out of her bag. Over the next day, he used it to pay in the city's stores, spending about 1400 rubles on clothing and products. The victim discovered the loss after receiving a bank statement and applied to the police, revealed Sergei Shimovich, the head of the OKP of the Oktyabrsky ROVD of Mogilev.

Now, investigators have initiated a criminal case against the suspect.
