Starting from October 1 of this year, Belarusians will be able to place orders for firewood online. This was announced by the Minister of Forestry, Sergey Uldinovich.

Growth in demand and sales volumes

"This year, more than 3.1 million cubic metres of firewood have already been sold domestically. We see an increase of over 200 thousand cubic metres compared to last year. People are actively preparing for the heating season. I think this is not the limit; there will be serious consumption yet," noted Sergey Uldinovich.

Convenience and control

He emphasized that there are no problems with acquiring firewood today.

"We are doing everything to make it more convenient for people. From October 1, firewood can be ordered online. No need to go to the forestry office. Any citizen, whether at home, at work, or anywhere else, can visit the website and submit an online application," said the minister.

Special logs will be created to monitor the timeliness of order fulfillment, including for overdue requests.

"This aspect will be tracked in more detail using technical capabilities," added Uldinovich.

Demand for split firewood

In addition, demand for split firewood has been increasing recently.

"Therefore, we set ourselves the task of increasing the production volume of this product. If necessary, we will purchase equipment, install it, to meet the demand," summarized the head of the Ministry of Forestry.
