As part of the City Day celebrations, delegations from Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Belarus visited Gomel. Chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee Ruslan Parkhamovich noted that Gomel is an active participant in the sister cities movement. Forty-two international documents have been signed with cities from 13 countries around the world.

Among them are 26 with the Russian Federation, 5 with the People’s Republic of China. For over 13 years, Gomel has been a sister city of Novi Sad, Serbia, and two years ago we became sister cities with Azerbaijan’s Ganja.
