At OJSC «Molochniye Gorki» a major investment project has been completed – on September 11, a new cheese-making

We have carried out a large-scale reconstruction: the project began in 2023 and was completed this year. Putting the cheese workshop into operation will allow the enterprise to earn additional monetary funds and continue to develop. The project was carried out using borrowed funds; banks provided us with loans, we also used our own monetary funds, and the enterprise participated in the "Regional Initiative" program. The product we will produce—block cheese in the "edam block" format—is currently the most in demand on the Russian market. We are also developing other markets, in particular Uzbekistan.

The head of OJSC "Molchnye Gorki" drew attention to the fact that additional raw materials will need to be attracted to produce the additional products:

— Currently, the enterprise processes about 350–360 tons of milk per day, but an increase is necessary in the future. The maximum capacity, taking into the commissioning of the new cheese workshop and its subsequent expansion to 40 tons per day, will be about 720 tons of milk per day.

The Chairman of the Goretsky District Executive Committee, Nikolai Orlenok, emphasized that the opening of the cheese production workshop is an important stage in the development of both the Goretsky District and the entire Mogilev Region.

— OJSC "Molchnye Gorki" is the foundation of the regional economy: it accounts for 70% of the district's export products, meaning the entire export potential of the territory is concentrated here. Today, the enterprise is investing resources in developing its raw material base—the district's agricultural organizations. This allows for increasing milk yields and production volumes. As a result, we expect the company's revenue to grow, which means our citizens' incomes will increase as well, he concluded.
