This is a serious gift for City Day from an enterprise with over a hundred-year history – Gomel Vodokanal. A special brigade, which takes care of the city's fountains, carried out the reconstruction. First, they drained the water from two basins, laid new pipes, and securely fastened underwater lights with colored lenses. Everything was done so that water would not get onto the wires and elements that receive voltage. The automatic lighting system passed testing and operates without failures.

Now water and light here play in bright colors, creating a lively show that delights Gomel residents and city guests. Children express special admiration — their eyes shine with delight. But adults are not left out either: parents take photos, and longtime residents discuss the updated cityscape. Now young people have a new place to meet, the guys commented. And lovers will be able to arrange romantic dates here, added the girls. The bright water-light accent of the square has become a new attraction and a reason for pride.
