The Gomel City Road Construction and Repair Trust, as the entity responsible for maintaining the city's stormwater drainage system, is carrying out a comprehensive effort to ensure the stable functioning of the drainage networks.

Heavy summer rains caused waterlogging and exposed the most vulnerable spots in the city's infrastructure — approximately 9 problem areas were identified.

To address the situation, the company's specialists conducted a commission-based inspection and telemetry diagnostics. Based on the data obtained, a set of measures was adopted to eliminate the causes of water accumulation in these areas.

Road conditions are monitored in real time through a video surveillance system: if new local flooding events are threatened, on-duty crews are ready to be dispatched immediately to the site for emergency cleaning of storm drain inlets.

As emphasized by the company's director Alexander Mikholenko, the issues of scheduled maintenance of stormwater networks and reliable engineering protection of the city are under constant oversight.
