
At the Gomel Branch of the Production Management of "Gomelgas," young specialists arrive every year — graduates of universities and colleges in the city and region. And by tradition, the company's management meets with them to discuss important matters — ranging from production tasks to resolving domestic situations and organizing leisure time.
Today, representatives from the administration of the Soviet District, several banks, a notary office, and public organizations of the enterprise and the city were invited to such a meeting.
Director Vladimir Spitalnik of the Gomelgas Technical University recounted his career path and formation within the professional sphere, so he advised the young people to be more active, show interest in workplace aspects, and strive to improve their qualifications.
– Each of you has been assigned a mentor, so do not hesitate to ask them anything that interests you, added Vladimir Mikhailovich.
Deputy Director of the branch, Ekaterina Florianovych, familiarized the young specialists with important information they needed to know, cautioning against careless actions on the internet that could lead to tragic consequences. She also suggested joining official information chats, including the Telegram channel of the newspaper "Gomelskie Vedomosti."
– The Gomel Oblyscom developed a chatbot for young specialists through which you can ask any question, noted Ekaterina Florianovych. – But if there are any problematic situations, the branch management is open to you, ready to listen and help.
Head of the legal and HR department of the Gomelgas Technical University, Irina Zhlutko, informed about employee preferences for those with the status of young specialists — from allowances under labor legislation to surcharges specified in the collective agreement.
Natalia Gvozdeva, head of the housing accounting and distribution department of the Soviet District administration, detailed the algorithm for obtaining rental housing, registration of those needing improved living conditions, and other important matters in this area. A representative of the Regional Administration No. 300 OOO "ASB Belarusbank" Oxana Pomasova explained how to obtain a preferential loan for building housing or purchasing goods from domestic production. Notary Julia Antipenko of the Central District notary office reported on restrictions on actions regarding real estate acquired (built) using funds from preferential lending or family capital.
Many interesting projects are being implemented for young people with their participation. This was stated by representatives of public associations. Chairman of the trade union committee of the industry's trade union Dmitry Truchanovich focused on opportunities to organize leisure, visit sports facilities (subscriptions paid by the trade union), learn more about native Belarus during tourist trips, or improve health in FPB sanatoriums.
Second secretary of the city branch committee of "BRSM" Ulyana Khodoshevych spoke about city-wide actions and projects:
"We pay great attention to patriotic upbringing, as well as volunteer activities; our objects of care include both small Gomel residents and four-legged friends."
Chairman of the enterprise veterans' council Natalia Koriska gave advice to young colleagues:
"As our enterprise will develop further, much depends on you, on how you will develop. You cannot stand still; you must possess professional skills that will help in life. Also, for workers it is important to be accurate, honest, and communicative."
