In Belarusian stores, the requirements for product assortment will change. We'll explain when and how

Tribuna Pracy September 8, 2026 8:39 From September 10, stores will be required to provide a minimum assortment of goods predominantly of Belarusian production. That is, the mandatory assortment will now be formed entirely from domestic products.

At the same time, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MART) aims to increase the share of Belarusian goods in retail to 58% already in 2026, and by 2030 at least 63%. Currently this figure is just over 55%.

"We have given a transition period of 15 days. There are a number of entities that do not need to renegotiate or, so to speak, introduce new assortment lists. These trading organizations are specified in the Council of Ministers decree No. 703. All others must revise their assortment lists and agree on them with local authorities by the deadline. Moreover, it is not enough to simply renegotiate; they must also ensure that the goods listed are available on the shelves in accordance with these lists," said Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Svetlana Korotkevich.
