Belarusian customs has warned that the quota for duty-free import of electric vehicles by individuals is nearly exhausted. At present, the remaining balance stands at 158 units.

The agency reminded that legal entities exhausted their quota back in July. When electric cars are imported by legal entities, an import customs duty of 15% of the vehicle's value is paid.

At the same time, for electric vehicles that are no more than five years old from their date of manufacture, it remains possible to obtain an exemption from VAT.
