Tariffs in the national electronic toll collection system for paid roads of the Republic of Belarus (BelToll) have been updated, BELTA was informed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

In addition to the tariff update for all types of vehicles, the innovations affect the conditions of travel on approach roads leading to Minsk and provide for the application of an increasing coefficient for vehicles with a technically permissible gross weight of more than 3.5 tonnes in the case of their transit movement along MKAD-1 and/or Minsk.

"One of the important goals of developing the transport system of Belarus in recent years has been the creation of special transit corridors for freight commercial transport around Minsk, while on the roads leading to the city, priority is given to public and private transport. The innovations in the tolling for paid roads are designed to reinforce this state of affairs and encourage drivers of vehicles with a technically permissible gross weight of more than 3.5 tonnes to choose routes specially designated for this. We expect that the measures taken will help to rationally distribute traffic flows on the approaches to Minsk and make travel on these roads faster and more comfortable for non-transit traffic, as well as have a beneficial effect on the environmental situation around the capital and contribute to improving road safety," the Ministry of Transport commented.

The new rules have been introduced in accordance with the resolution of the Ministry of Transport and Communications dated 24 August 2026 No. 42 "On the approval of toll tariffs for paid highways of the Republic of Belarus." From 1 September, travel on paid roads leading to Minsk is paid for with the application of an increasing coefficient to the current tariffs. The innovation applies to vehicles with a technically permissible gross weight of more than 3.5 tonnes if, within one hour, they travel along two or more segments of the M-2 (from 14.9 to 25.308 km), M-3 (from 9.4 to 10.418 km), M-4 (from 16.3 to 19.046 km), M-6/E28 (from 12 to 20.575 km), R-1 (from 8.2 to 24.44 km), R-23 (from 10.2 to 14.1 km), R-28 (from 12.44 to 16.91 km) routes.

To calculate the amount of toll for vehicles traveling on a calculated segment of paid highways, the following tariffs per 1 km/euro are applied: for vehicles with a permissible gross weight of more than 3.5 tonnes and two axles — 0.121, with three axles — 0.152, with four or more axles — 0.182.

For vehicles with a technically permissible gross weight not exceeding 3.5 tonnes that are not registered in EAEU member states, the travel fee continues to be calculated based on the duration of using the toll roads and is as follows: 21 euros for 15 calendar days, 33 euros for 30 calendar days, and 114 euros for one calendar year.

For vehicles with a technically permissible gross weight not exceeding 3.5 tonnes that are registered in the territory of EAEU member states, travel on the country's roads remains free of charge.

The amount of the fee under the single-trip tariff is as follows: for a vehicle with a permissible gross weight of up to 3.5 tonnes inclusive, 15 euros in respect of non-payment; for vehicles with a permissible gross weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes, 19 euros in respect of underpayment, and 38 euros in respect of non-payment.
