Belarus has introduced a temporary ban on the export of certain industrial goods, effective from September 23, the government's press service reported. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin.

Starting September 23, 2026, a temporary export ban for a period of six months will be imposed on certain types of industrial goods. This measure aims to prevent the unjustified export of industrial products from Belarus and to avoid shortages in the domestic market.

In particular, the list of goods subject to the temporary export ban has been updated.

The following categories of goods have been excluded:

Those for which a permit procedure for export is deemed unnecessary, given the enforcement practice and the complete absence or negligible number of export applications submitted during the period the restriction was in effect.

Those exported beyond the Republic to supply networks of Belarusian organizations abroad or their special representatives.

Those whose export and technical servicing are complicated by the requirement to obtain export permits.

Based on the application of the measure, additional cases have been established in which export coordination is not required.
